Tip: No Rules!  Some people think, if they have smoky, dramatic eyes they need to couple it with a neutral or soft lip.  Why not have dramatic eyes and a powerful lip color?  You make the rules in this make-up game. Be a game changer!

If you have oily skin and suffer from your eye shadow creasing or disappearing on your eye lids, an eye shadow primer is a must.  The purpose of an eye shadow base is to absorb the excess oils that accumulate on your eye lids throughout the day,  to increase the longevity of your eye shadow application and to enhance your eye shadow color.  Show off your eye shadow color by first using an eye shadow base.  My two favorites eye shadow bases are Laura Mercier, Eye Basics and Trish McEvoy, Eye Base.  #shawnaelizabeth #eyeshadowprimer  #nomorecreasing #makeupstudio

Look: Neutral but Smoky!

Colors:  Gold & Black

Tip: Neutral done with a kick! The kick is the black eyeliner and eye shadow.  Add black to any eye shadow application (even the most neutral colors) and get ready for a POP!

Patiently waiting, and it’s coming together! Estimated move in date Monday, February 15th!   I have been so busy picking out all the small details. My paint colors, Aesthetic White and Extra White, I picked out a couple of weeks ago, finally have arrived on my walls, love it (thanks to Dahlia and Linda for your suggestion)! I (actually my daughter, Leila and I) painted two old mirrors I had, they both were dark wood and I painted them a light silver.  I got candles and a diffuser to create this clean and warm environment, that smells fabulous.  I bought this beautiful flashy red pillow to dress up my red chaise.  I even had time to take a family selfie in my unfinished studio. Welcome to my family, I call “the powerful5”. Still staying prayed up and super grateful about what’s to come, will keep you posted.  Dreams really do come true! 

The Pantone color of the year is…drumroll….Rose Quartz and Serenity (that’s right 2 colors)!
Pink and Blue? And how can these two fabulous colors be represented in make-up artistry? Sephora has already introduced great color story options! Yes we can do a smoky blue (a little serenity) eye shadow application with and an angelic pink ( a little rose quartz) lip. My floors have been installed! It’s really happening!  Excited! A floor, according to dictionary.com, is defined as a level, supporting surface in any structure. I need these beautiful floors to be super strong, they have so much weight to support.  #supportthisdream #supportthelove #supportprayingknees

What’s next?

When trying to create a fuller brow shape, the goal should NOT be to make your brows darker, it should be to make your brows fuller. Choose a shade slightly lighter than your natural color, to fill in. Pay careful attention to brow alignment and shape.
