I heard it today,
My gift is my seed
I heard it clearly, not a whisper, not a raised voice, but a voice of distinction
This gift you give me, my seed, am I suppose to plant it, and then all of a sudden be this farmer?
Me, in overalls, a straw hat, playing in dirt….I don’t think so

My gift is my seed, but will it keep me from starving?
Will it comfort my heart burn?
Will it fill many plates at my dinner table?
Will love and logic both celebrate this victory?

My gift is my seed, I heard it again!
Then why are all these side roads showing me a new route, a detour?
One that promises to fill my plate but neglects my heart
Promising me that I don’t have to wait, plant seeds, water or even get my hands dirty,
I can eat abundantly today, but no promise to fix my heart condition.

My gift is my seed
Today I declare I am an official farmer,
Studying, planting, turning soil and awaiting my harvest,
I was promised that this seed if planted correctly will cure my heart burn and fill plates even after I am called home
I will have inspired so many others to become farmers, planting seeds of different kinds,
And US sharing this beautiful garden of abundance
We will feed each other and we shall not want for anything

Tip of the week-  For a flawless complexion, try applying your foundation first, then spot treat with your concealer on the areas that need extra coverage.  For best results, use a brush to apply your concealer and then follow up with translucent powder. Now you’re flawless!

It’s all coming together! I had to pick out paint colors and this was a challenge for me. I was so sure I wanted a soft white until I arrived at Sherwin Williams. What a confusing assortment of whites? What I thought might take me about 15 minutes took me 2 visits and a 30 minute discussion with the paint swatches. I’m not complaining in the least bit, completely overjoyed and loving every phase of this process. I finally selected my two paint colors…drumroll….Aesthetic White and Extra White! I know, it’s hard to get excited about white, but as you can see they are different. I was keeping in mind the colors of my logo and decided to do a neutral color on the walls, so the only true color that will stand out is from pictures hanging on the wall AND…. my REDchaise. This red chaise is special to me and I have had this chaise for over 10 years. It’s old, comfortable, familiar, have been through tears and laughter, the color is still perfect and it’s a reminder of my walk. While everything else can be brand new, I need my red chaise!

When trying to find the perfect lip color, don’t settle. If you don’t absolutely love your lipstick color in the store, before purchasing it, walk away. Lipstick is one of those products you cant wait to fall in love with, gotta love it before you buy it!
